Ranged builds get a chance to collect THEIR loot Party can stay focused on fighting the boss till the end, not thinking too much about best item grabbing position Keep people motivated to play in party (currently there is 0 motivation as autopicker are guaranteed to be present in every game, stealing YOUR items). Not generate more items or flood the market Normal mobs can drop shared loot as usual." You can pickup the item designated for you if you want. "It would really help if item drops from bosses would be player locked for 2-3 seconds but visible (greyed out) for others. You are wrong seing it as black or white only. Sometimes I get it, a lot of times I don’t, and that’s completely okay. Everyone has the same opportunity to grab loot. I don’t need to be a “selfish jerk” to suggest it’s a terrible idea for this game. There are a lot of QoL changes I’m all for, but individual loot in Diablo 2 is one of the worst suggestions I’ve heard since this all started and the D3 crowd started trying to turn this into their own game. This is an even worse system because you’re only seeing 1/8th of the items dropped on the ground which is very unexciting, and people will just end up doing solo magic find anyways (the way they will do with the free for all loot that will be implemented.) The other option is where the loot drops for everyone the way it already does, but it is randomized as to who gets what. The game isn’t designed around having that much high end loot flooding into the market, and turns the item grind into easy mode, and makes everything you find much less valuable early on because everyone is getting so many items in players 8 with no competition for loot. This means that in an 8 player game there are 8x the amount of items entering the trade market. The first is every person receives their own instance of loot drops. There are only 2 ways this can be implemented.
